Woodstock Union High School Interact Club

INTERACT is a Rotary-sponsored service club for young people in the 14-18 school age.

Its purpose:

    -  provide young people with an opportunity to participate in fun, meaningful service projects.

    -  stimulate development of leadership skills and initiative while they meet new friends.

    -  stimulate helpfulness and respect for others.

    -  promote understanding the value of individual responsibilities and hard work.

    -  promote advancement of international understanding and goodwill

INTERACT Background:

The first INTERACT Club was formed at theMelbourne  High School inMelbourne ,  Florida   in 1962. Today there are 230,000 Interactors in 10,000 clubs located in 118 countries – and growing! INTERACT Clubs are self-supporting and self-governing but with guidance from the respective sponsoring Rotary Club.

The INTERACT Club of Woodstock was inaugurated in August, 2004 and currently has many members and is well established. It gets involved in activities that include several fund drives that gave financial support to needing families in the local area and several charitable organizations as well
